Pakistan Floods Impact Over 1 Million People 🌊🇵🇰

Since late June, heavy monsoon rains and glacial lake outburst floods (GLOF) have devastated Pakistan, affecting over one million people across Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Sindh, and Balochistan.

📍 Casualties & Damage

  • At least 854 people killed, including ~200 children.

  • 1,130 injured and 9,000+ houses damaged.

  • Rising health risks: malaria, skin infections, snake bites.

  • Schools, roads, and critical infrastructure heavily impacted.

⚠️ NDMA warns of high flood risk in the Sutlej River in the next 48 hours, with monsoon rains forecast to continue until at least September 10, 2025.
